Steering angle sensor with durametric
Hi all
Trying to view the angle of the steering wheel angle sensor with the durametric and it's just giving me garbage. Sits at 120 all the time and doesn't respond. No errors or anything which there would be from PSM - and I know the PSM works fine....
Has anyone managed to get a proper reading from the steering wheel angle sensor?

Bumping this thread to see if there are any updates. I see the same symptom, and under Front Body Module, I also see codes 8034 and 8035 (Angle sensor calibration front/rear). I suspect they're related. Do you see these, too?
What laptop/PC are you using? I'm beginning to wonder if my laptop is throttled down too much since it is unplugged, and it's just not fast enough to work with the Durametric.
Even when trying to monitor realtime values, I only get 1 or 2 before the values seem to freeze.

Yes I see a lot of freezing with this particular issue. I have no codes like you. Very fast laptop, I just can't get any values from the steering wheel window in the durametric.

i have a dura pro and every once in awhile i get a angle sensor fault. i dutifully "calibrate" and then clear the codes but who knows if it's doing anything. i have a feeling it's a placebo. anyway, i track the car and never had any issues with PASM, PSM, ABS, etc.

BTW... I just saw that Durametric released a new software update this month. I'll have to download it and see if there are any improvements.

For what it worth, Durametric reads -120 (not 120) for my 2007 Cayman S. Like yours, it is also stationary and does not change.
Moreover, I cannot calibrate my steering angle sensor as per Durametric instructions, either. Ironically, I bought the Durametric specifically for this one reason, and my first try has been nothing, but disappointing!
BTW, both ABS and PSM lights are on on my car.
Cheers,
The car-nut!

whoa that was a long time ago. haha, honestly i can't remember exactly but it's pretty simple. i'm sure if you just go thru the menus/modules in there, you'll run across it.
