Default OEM TPMS on Aftermarket Wheels? + Thoughts on Wheels?

Hey everyone,

As the title states, I'm curious as to whether the TPMS on my 997.2 C2S Cab's can be swapped over to aftermarket wheels. I currently have the OEM 19" 997.1 Turbo wheels, and I'm looking at replacing them with HRE FF01's.

I guess while I'm at it, I'll post these pics of them just to hear anyone's feedback haha. Can't find any pics of them on a 997 Cab, so these will have to do. Enjoy!

Default HRE FF01's

I just picked up a set of FF01's last week. The offsets are more aggressive than factory on the narrow body cars. Sounds like you have a wide body if you're running Turbo wheels.

OP states he has a C2S. The 997.1 Turbo rear wheels were also available in a NB offset.

I'm actually pretty sure that the rears are the same specs as the Turbo's since the tire itself pokes a tiny bit outside of the fender. But then again, my car came with 305's in the rear and not the normal 295's. The offsets recommended for my car are a little bit less aggressive in the rear, and a little more aggressive in the front than my current wheels. This is exactly what I want since the fronts are a just a tad too sunk into the fenders, and the rears are little too even with the fender....but that's just my personal opinion.

I have also successfully transferred my OEM TPMS sensors to a set of aftermarket wheels. You just have to remember to go into the computer setup for TPMS and re-initialize them.

Can you elaborate on the "re-initialize"? I just swapped my winter wheels (with TPMS) for my summer wheels (with TPMS) but the car isn't picking up the TPMS on the summer wheels. The summer wheels worked fine in the fall when i took them off and i didn't do a re-initialize to get the winter wheels TPMS working. All of the batteries in the summer wheel TPMS's could have died over the winter months, but i find it odd, as most people that i'm reading about here have one die first. Thoughts? Thanks.

I got them last summer. Love the wheels. Had them put the factory tpms in these rims and they work great.

Some nice-looking HRE cars in here. Steve, as others have mentioned, the TPMS devices can be swapped over. FYI: In your original post, the second car is the one on FlowForm wheels, the first and third 997s are on P40SCs, very similar design though
