That's funny, the internet/forums is/are such a contextual tabula rasa. "I can't do it for you" is because I was on my iPad and it takes me (that is me, not someone more technically adept) a long time to cut and paste links. I did do a search and came up with lots of interesting previous posts with those key words. My bad for not being more clear. A good learning experience/reminder for me but I wouldn't assume to speak for you.

I (sincerely, in case there is any doubt this time) hope you got the info you were looking for. I have the Sharkwerks X-pipe and love it, FWIW.

Forums are rich in information from the collective experiences of others.
I also appreciate the fact that text only being unidimensional can be misinterpreted.
I appreciate the feedback, and indeed the "slate is clean/blank" again from my perspective.
BTW the Sharkwerks x-pipe was ordered earlier this eve.

I just went through this decision with my GTS. I ended up choosing the Fabspeed X-Pipe based on the higher pitched exhaust note above 3K RPM. With PSE on you get a nice growl at idle. I'm very happy with my choice.

A previous poster mentioned the thicker flange on the Fabspeed X-Pipe and needing to get longer bolts. My kit from Fabspeed came with the longer bolts, so it wasn't an issue, I suspect they weren't included when it was sold 2nd hand. My install didn't take me much time and was pretty straight forward.

Had the sharkwerks on my '09 C2S for five years (mine was probably the first production one) and was completely happy with the sound and quality of the product. Easy to install, reduces weight in the rear, some apparent increase in power and better airflow through the engine area as it is far less bulky than the OEM center muffler. I installed it in less than 1 hour with the car on the ground. I like the Sharkwerks products so much that I have their center muffler by pass on my GT3 now. Good products and Dan and Alex are good people to work with.

Earlier in this thread I commented about testing both the Fabspeed solution to the AWE Tuning solution. I finally made a decision to use the Fabspeed X-pipe. For those interested in my thoughts about these, I've posted the reasoning on the for-sale posting for the AWE crossover here: https://rennlist.com/forums/for-sale...crossover.html

to the o/p I understand you made a decision. For those of you still interested in a Sharkwerks Bypass Pipe. There is a used one for sale in Ottawa for $350.

I'm also running the Fabspeed and PSE. I just love it, period. I still remember getting the car off the transport and that first drive, the first run up past 4000 rpm! (I had never driven this car or heard a 997 with this setup, just had it shipped) My son and I looked at each other like "WTF??...THAT'S AWESOME!" Such a huge part of the driving experience for me. Having stood next high revving, high pitched Ferrari's I honestly think the car sounds THAT good at a lower tone, I would say better but I'd probably get killed for that. Needless to say it's very exotic sounding. I will also add it's quite a bit louder outside than what you hear in the drivers seat. I had no idea until I stood behind and had someone else rev it up.

Now if it would only make that sound all the time at idle, that it makes on a totally cold start!
