I saw one on the Columbus Ohio Craigslist that was used on a 2000 996. It looks to be complete including tools and the racks for 2 bikes for $300. I'm not sure if that will work on your car or not. No affiliation!!

I got mine off of eBay about a year ago. I used the part number, 996-801-105-00 i think, as a search alert, so i was notified when the rack was listed. It did take awhile for a suitable rack to come to market.

I got mine from a non-Porsche dealer. I think they took the car and rack in as a trade-in, so they just wanted to unload the rack and probably wholesaled the car. I got it for a very fair price. Good luck.

I'm still using my roof rack... but if anyone needs a basket I have the complete setup from this thread with the Rhino Rack AT 1512 Alloy Tray Cargo Basket (59" L x 49" W) and the Aero Crossbar Fit Kit for the basket and our Porsche Roof Rack System.

I haven't listed it in the classifieds yet because I literally just assembled it last night on my living room floor and unfortunately it isn't going to work for my application so I'm going a different route. Brand spanking new.
