Question Dog compartment for 997

I'm a German shepherd owner who is also a fabricator. Thinking of designing and building a dog compartment for the 997/911 which will require removal of the passenger seat. Any interest?

I am a GSD breeder.
I have a truck for transporting them. Why would you want to put them in a sports car?

Hi! We have a kennel/breeding program as well and it's because we love our GSD's as well as our Porsches I suppose.

Wouldn't you like to transport your next competition dog safely and cleanly both to and from the tracking/obedience/protection field in your 997?

this is definitely in the running for "oddest post of 2013" so i'll chime in - cut a hood scoop/install plexiglass for breathing air and light, and put extra padding with a harness in the frunk. (which is certainly no more out-there than removing the passenger seat in a porsche to install a dog cage!)

What exactly would it be? My Vizsla and lab mix ride together in the back just fine.

to the OP....you should have asked about putting orange wheels or lime green outside rearview mirrors on your P car to get positive remarks.

Every time you remove the passenger seat and start the car you will have air bag warning light and you will have to go to the dealer to have this reset. Plus unbolting the seat and taking it out is not that easy or quick of an operating and the seat bolts are not designed to be removed and re-tightened all the time.

My 85lb Doberman is perfectly happy sitting IN the passenger seat and watching the world go by. I have her leash securely looped around the seat belt latch just in case.
