Default Aftermarket pedal install

I'm installing new pedals on my 997TT but before I do I thought I should check on one thing. Are the gas and dead pedal removable or do they have covers on them like the brake and clutch pedals? I'd rather not put screws in them if possible like the directions with my new pedals suggest. I've taken a close look at both the gas and dead pedal and don't believe they are removable, but my experience has taught me that what I think I see isn't always correct. Anyone have experience installing after market pedals that can confirm this?

On the 996, there is no pad/cover for the accelerator and the dead pedal. Can't imagine they added one for the 997. Drill away.

You have to drill into both the dead and gas pedals or replace the whole gas pedal with adjustable billet Rennline assembly.

You can easily remove the accelerator pedal -- one screw in the bottom and then it pivots out. You will need to disconnect the electrical throttle plug on the back of the pedal. I haven't removed the dead pedal, but it also appears to be easily removed. I believe there are 2 screws which you should be able to see and then it comes out. It will be easier to drill and put the aftermarket pedal covers on with these pieces out of the car but it certainly isn't difficult if you leave everything in place either.
