Default Wheel Fit question

I’m looking for a set of winter wheels/tires - will 991.1 wheels fit on a 997.2 (C4)?

https://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/wt...845769566.html

Please see add as well for details, sorry don’t have any other information.
But can ask seller if needed.

thanks

Ask the seller for the width and offset numbers, post them here and we'll let you know.

I purchased a winter set from Craigslist for my 997.2 c4s that a guy used on his 991. They were an 18 inch set and they fit my widebody but I needed spacers. 7mm up front and 15mm in the back. Offsets are way off compared to my widebody so be prepared to purchase spacers with extended bolts of course.

the tpms in our cars are different I believe and not compatible. Take them out and sell those to buy the 433mhz ones.

Narrow body wheels from 991 will fit 997s (for your C4 you may need spaces). However, 19" tires are too tall (235/40-19) for 997s if I remember correctly.

Here are the details for the wheels/tires - will they fit (or are spacers required - if so what size)?

Front:
Tire - Pirelli Sottozero Series 2 - 235/40 R19
Rim - 8.5Jx19H2 ET54

Rear:
Tire - Pirelli Sottozero Series 2 - 285/35 R19
Rim - 11Jx19H2 ET69

thanks

They'll fit, but you'll need spacers in the back as those are NB width and offset numbers.

Standard front tire size is 235/35-19 so those with a 40 aspect ratio are also a little taller - not sure if that will throw off your AWD system or not.

What size spacers would you recommend?

Will this set work without spacers? Guessing the front wheels may need to be changed to 35 aspect ratio as mentioned by Petza914.
https://boston.craigslist.org/nos/wt...862693406.html

235/40/19 - 51 offset
295/35/19 - 54 offset

thanks in advance

Just a caveat and thanks to a heads up from Petza but putting incorrect sizes of tires on your car can void Fidelity's warranty if you have one. Probably worth a post of it's own.

The front would need to be 235/35R19 and the rear 295/30R19 (None of the 991 tires will fit properly on a 997 as the overall diameter is larger). The wheel offsets look correct as long as the wheels are 8.0-8.5 front and 11.0-11.5 rear
