Default Slipping Clutch

This weekend my clutch started slipping. I was able to make it home ok.
My 06 997S has 46k miles and I am the second owner. Sun Coast offers the kit for around $750. Does anyone know what the dealer will charge for parts and labor. Also, how many hours the job requires. Should I have the RMS replaced.I remember doing this in my 02 996 and it cost around $1500. That repair was done shortly after purchasing a 4 year old Targa. Any thoughts or comments on my present car would be appreciated.

Find a good indy shop in your area. Save on labor. Yes, replace the seal while in there. It's about a $40 part.

Not too many months ago had the RMS in my 996 Turbo fixed. Dealer charged me just under $1700 and most of that was labor at $150/hour, so figure around 8 to 9 hours labor.

Add a clutch and all new clutch hardware (disc, pressure plate, release bearing, and any other hardware that shows signs of wear/tear or the tech should be replaced) to that and you are probably looking at (roughly) another $700. Thus a new clutch will run you around $2400 to $2500.

However, if a new flywheel is needed that can run another (roughly) $1000.

Stop driving the car with that slipping clutch!

Macster you are right on on your estimate. Just got the quote from the dealer. I am also going to replace the RMS . I do not have an Indy that I am comfortable with. Can't think of anything positive except that I will get a Panamera for a few days.
