Default Heating Issue

I did a search and couldn't find anything on this so here's what's going on.

I just got back from Florida and I began driving the 911 again and it seems to me like the heat is hardly working. It's kinda warm but not very warm (and I always remember the heater to be a monster with the heat) and I have to have it up to 77 or 78 to get much out of it. Also the blower doesn't seem to be very strong either but I haven't driven it in a while so I'm not sure how she used to be.

Any ideas? I'm taking her in in 2 weeks for winter tires and an oil change and I'll have the tech take a look but was just wondering what your thoughts were in the meantime.

Thanks in advance.

Tom

Stuck thermostat? Are you low on coolant? I would take it in asap to prevent any $$$ damage

If the car was parked up some time I'm going to guess mice have been in the car.

Thus, given the possibility, I'd consider taking the car in sooner rather than later.

Tom--did you check the heating system thoroughly after the body repair work? Perhaps this is your first opportunity to really use the heat in some time. They may have crossed some control wires or cables...

I did Dan....I used it last winter although I spent some significant time in Florida. I would've noticed if the heat wasn't working as I was home all of December and some of January and February.

I'm noticing now and it's not even very cold except at night and then only 40s to 60s.

Thanks for the check-in Dan! I'll call tomorrow and take it in this week.

Let the tech know if you found any fluids on the ground.

Good luck Tommy, hope it is a simple fix.

As you know by now these things are fairly bomb proof so your mechanic will sort this out quickly. I'm sure something like that will pop up on the diagnostics.

Guys, the op is referring to the A/C heat. I don't think he is referring to the car heating. Good luck!
