BTW, if anyone has pics of their instrument panels in g-red... please post as I'd like some ideas re what to do there as well. PM has been sent to Tcc1999 for the offer of pics. TIA

Very cool mod and DIY! I did something similar to my RS America's tachometer back in the day using FVD's gauge face.
I may have to look into the orange one for the TT now!

Thanks for the positive feedback folks. There was a break in the rain today so I had a chance to check out the chrono in the light of day. Previously I was concerned re the contrast of the orange armature against the g-red gauge face... but as you can see from the video it's really a non-issue. Will have to see how it looks at night.
Rotes. A salute to the ladies... glad to see them back!
ilko. That orange face gauge would be very unique and match your car nicely. Go for it!
Here are some better pics of it in the day light.

Wonderful DIY post as usual !! Really looks stellar. Can't wait to see the finished project as the contrast in the cabin will look amazing. The red gauge faces really do look amazing, always been a favorite of mine.

Usmc as always great job! And very kind to share the whole process. This will surely give confidence to everyone intending to undertake the job but did not really understand how those needles were installed. Now we know! Thumbs up and a salute.

As requested. I was a little concerned about not being able to see the needles with the GR gauge faces but it has been a total non-issue both on the road and track.

I just did this mod for a friend with the help of this great DIY post .
In this case the main pointer pulled out the stem as well !
I was worried it would not go back in but after a lot of jiggling
It did eventually without having to force it and risk breaking .
Phew !
Crap materials , probably made in China by the way
