997.1 a keeper!

Seems to me spending $25 grand putting a new engine into my '05 would make less economic sense than putting the same money into upgrading to a .2. And that new .1 engine would still have an IMS. But insasmuch as I spent to put the LN bearing in it, and spent on a B2B warranty to 2017, I too am keeping my .1.
+1 to that. In 4 years a used 991 might be at a price-point I can live with.

Agree 100% with you Alex.
I cannot see myself ever selling the club coupe unless it has major mechanical problem. Trade in of it will not even buy a new base Boxster.
There is not even any decision making process for me. I don't need to upgrade it to a GT3 as I already have the last true manual RS, which is also a keeper.
50 of club coupe in the world is very very rare. I think it will appreciate in value one day.
I think I have stopped shopping for a sport car for a long time already.

Race Car
This one's staying with me to the end. Love this car. Styling, performance, sound, interior and experience are all timeless. It will look good in 5 years and it will look good in 20 years. Pure 911.

Had Porsches since the 60's. Of all the ones I have had I regret selling the '72 the most, well almost. I did sell my '09 C2S and realized I made a mistake. Fortunately, I was able to buy it back four months later. It is a keeper, especially with the improvements I have made. I have driven a 991 on the track and it is not for me. I see other 997 owners feel the same way and come back to the 997(either .1 or .2) For those that like the 991, great car just not my cup of tea.

Three Wheelin'
I completely agree with the views above. I have put under 5,000 miles a year on mine and it is going strong at 32,000 miles. I love the X51 power kit and rarely use the Navigation module or add any oil. If I were present at the ordering of this car, I would have gotten the C2S with PCCB's and full leather, rather than the C4S and the Aero kit, but it is all good and a blast to drive every day.
I lusted after a GTS but the 991 does not do much for me. I think the new electronic steering is a bone-headed retreat from the brand that is more like BMW than Porsche.
