USAA has changed over the 37 years I have been a member. Demographics, size, customer service, etc, have evolved into an entity far different than the small group of Army officers who initially formed the association. I just found better ($2K cheaper annually, with better and more coverage) homeowner insurance, and am looking for alternatives on the auto side, as well.

With whom? I canvass other co every few years. None even bother to quote when I tell them I'm with USAA.

Agreed on the changes, but have not seen any impact to customer service. Maybe subscriber account distributions might be impacted.
