Lovely orange Turbo... you guys seem to be more daring, colour wise, than we are, in Europe. I had never seen the stock wheels in black...

Here , it's just black, dark blue and grey... nice colours, but when 9 out of 10 are like that, it gets tedious.

----------------

....haven't got my wheels yet, so I'll show only the dash et back. Techart steering wheel (really amazing difference it makes to the touch) ,
aluminium pedals, short shift (can't see that...) . Exhaust and 100 cpi catalytic converters; Techart N°1 rear spoiler.

In 10 days, the black Vog'Art wheels and Techart sports clutch (stock clutch decided that the Techart 550hp prep was too much...
and started slipping in high gears)

Love your TechArt upgrades. I'm lusting after one of those TechArt steering wheels myself, but they are super expensive in the US.

Thanks, Mspeedster. Yes, Techart are very expensive. But when it came to fiddling with a Turbo, I wasn't going to entrust it to just any tuner.

This gave me the opportunity to drive to Stuttgart, visit the Porsche factory, the Museum, and see the Techart workshops... very impressive. Very professional.
the wheels, on the other hand, are Vog'Art forged black wheels, as the Techart wheels (even with the good discount they were offering me) remained ridiculously expensive. And I told them so...

The 550hp (553 to be accurate, on the rolling road test) have transformed my car into an animal. Given the price of the 991 TT, it was the perfect option for my limited budget !

Below:

** one day in Paradise...

** my baby in Techart's workshops

** in Techart's showroom, one of their monstrous GT Streets.

Could you share your wheel/tire set up. Looks like you've stretched the tire, is it to avoid rubbing? Car doesn't seem low enough to rub with normal tires.

no stretching. The tire has a shoulder that hangs out over the rim.

19" Sport Design rims with Michelin Pilot Sport tires.

Thank you Sir.

I am fascinated by the variety of coulours here... this thread has got me enthralled.

That Riviera blue is unthinkable/unsellable here in France, and what a shame that it is so !!!

She is lovely, Skater from down under! She hasn't aged at all !! And your photo is spectaculer (what is the snow-capped mountain?)

I personally find that the 991TT has less "personality" in her looks. It is, obviously, a fabulous car too, but the 997 remains iconic !!

997 is the message from Porsche to their clients "we hear you!!" when we all screamed at them "a 911 has round headlights, period"

997 is an amazing intemporal design, which will not become a classic only because they sold so many of them... (the price of success!!)

That's Mount Ruapehu, photo is taken from the Desert Road. Two weeks after buying her I took a road trip from Auckland to Wellington to get a feel for the car. Was great

And agree, the shape of the 997 is nicer than the 991 IMO. Am sure 993 owners feel the same about their cars relative to the 996/7/1's though...
