Considering a sale - help me with value ('11 GTS)
Despite my plan to buy and keep this car for a long time, I'm entertaining the idea of selling my GTS. We have some land in the mountains and want to build a weekend / retirement cabin to use with the kids while they still like hanging with mom and dad.
However, increased healthcare cost and taxes are really impacting our timeline and we could really use the cash from the car/payment. I have been off Rennlist for a while and have no idea what used prices are like - can someone help with a rough idea of private party sale value?
'11 GTS, 10k miles (biggest portion from a round trip to Austin for the F1 race )

I have been looking at various 997s and would say a price of around $80-$85k would be fair for yours (if it's a cab, if coupe then lower). There is a cab locally priced at $92k at a dealership. 2k miles, 2011 GTS.

I was guessing more in the $70s. $80-85k seems high, maybe the one you were looking at had a lot of options?

If you look on the Porsche website under pre-owned you'll find 2011 CPO Cabriolets with similar mileage in he $92K to $96K range. As a data point PFS tells me that the buyout for my '12 GTS coupe is about $85K. Try a search in Autotrader or Cars.com for private party asking prices. As an off-hand guess, I'd say low 80's to low '90's (depending on your market) but at the upper range you may be competing with a brand new 991 so the person that pays that much for a 997 variant might be an enthusiast that doesn't care for the new platform. Further there are probably leftover '12 997s that may also be at a similar price point. But this is just speculation. You won't really know until you put it on the market. Sorry to have been of such little help. I hope it all works out well for you!

About 4 weeks ago a dealer offered me $83k on a trade for my 11 GTS with PDK.

Thanks, you've all been helpful (Hi Alan, been a long time).
I need to replace a cracked bumper cover (5 mph traffic light goof) and have it detailed, so I have time for more research, but this is a good start.
Think anyone would want it with car seats installed? I dread getting them back out.

You are going to be competing with CPO dealer cars (GTS coups) which will get premium $$$ (85k-92k) your car may demand less because you don't offer a 100,000 miles CPO warrantee until 2017-18.

If I could pick up a 10k mile 2011 GTS for $70K that would be a STEAL! If you sell it privately I'd say 80k is certainly doable.

I just bought a 2010 C2S from a Dealer with CPO and 3K miles for just under $80K. I would have bought yours in a second for that much as long as it is in New Condition.
To me anything under $80K is not enough, but again this is pending condition.
Good Luck
