Default Rubber stripes on roof

Has anyone ever replaced the 2 longitudinal 2mm wide rubber stripes on each side of the both roof rack anchor rails ?

Mine were supposed to be black and they are turning white-ish, wonder what I can do to restore them back to black short of replacing them. Thoughts ?

Thoroughly clean.
Mask off painted areas.
Wipe with Aerospace 303.

And do not push too hard on them. They will recess in the channel, stretch out, and be difficult to get back to their original position.

Thanks for the tips guys, I think I will try applying the 303 with a fine paint brush.

Does anyone have an idea on how to remove both plastic roof rails (not the rubber stripes) ?
Getting some crazy idea in my head about wrapping them if I can get them out and back in easy....

I agree! I have 27 yr old rubber and black metal trim I have to maintain on my 930 and this product works great for it. Its at least a low cost, quick try for you.

303 works great as a protectant not so well as a restorer.

Had the roof, spoiler, diffuser area, dive planes, headlamp rings, and grill splits wrapped in real CF vinyl. I know real CF and vinyl in the sentence does not compute but there are fibers in the vinyl.

Went on very nice and mixes things up a bit....go see my album for more photos as this thread has been kinda hijacked.

Very easy to remove, I removed them when I did a full correction. Gently pry at the ends! Start at the rear window & gently lift, preferably with a pry tool, be careful those white plastic clips are not cheap!

Awesome, thanks @Ni_Mo

Question: so the plastic rails and rubber stripes on each side are all one piece ?
