Usually use 93 and sometimes 91 if I have to. Checked for non-ethanol stations and there is one 10 minutes for my house.

You guys rock... I bought my 08 997s in December. My previous toys were muscle cars and motorcycles. I did check out my manual before I filled it up for the first time. I never knew this was an issue nor would I have ever checked into it. After looking on the pure gas web site, turns out there is one station with 3 miles of my house. I believe I will buy all my gas there now!

For what its worth there are 6 stations within approximately 75 miles of my house. 4 of them are marinas on little lakes.

Not sure how much confidence I would have that the stations listed on the pure gas website actually sell gas with no ethanol. There doesn't seem to be any certification process involved with the listings. I also checked the listings for my state, North Carolina, and saw multiple Top Tier gas stations listed. The Top Tier website lists ethanol as a required component of Top Tier gas formulation.

I am a skeptic so I ordered an ethanol test kit from Ebay for about $30 and checked. Station I use tested as advertised. Stations I use for wife's SUV tested as 10% ethanol contamination.

Isn't it true that there are no Shell stations in Oklahoma?

I've been in the business for 25 years. Yes.

In my market Shell owns a fair share of the market, but it refines ZERO of the fuel it sells here. It comes out of the same pipe at the terminal that dispenses Conoco, 7-Eleven, Valero, etc. Big oil trades barrels of fuel in the pipeline with other users depending on the geography. The gasoline market in the US is very efficient.

you stand corrected.
