My new to me 911
It must be spring since there are a lot of these threads. I took delivery this week, but it will be a few weeks before I can actually drive it given the foot of snow we received yesterday. No matter given that I've already been waiting 30 years for this car.
I was considering a new Boxster S, which looks to be a brilliant car, but the "need" for a 911 trumped it's less storied sibling. Also, the 911 is wife-certified in that my daughters can fit in the back seat. I couldn't justify the $80k (optioned the way I want) for the Boxster in that the toy car will sit 6 mos a year.
CPO 2006 C2S, 48k km, black-on-black, 6 mt, Sport Chrono+, heated seats, black gauges, and Guards Red seat belts. Pretty much a stripper, which is fine because I'm kind of a minimalist.
I wouldn't pay to get the Techart skirts, but they seem to work with this car, so I'll keep them.
I bought the car unseen from Vancouver, but the dealer was excellent to deal with. The PPI from an indy was worth every penny because they discovered the odd misfire (not enough to trip a CEL) which meant that the dealer stepped up and replaced the plugs and coils before they shipped it.
Couldn't be happier to be here.
