Replacement TPMS
#31
After reading this thread ordered a set of OEWheels TPMS item # 9488652 for my 2011 TTS. I have driven over 50 miles and dash reads "Partial Monitoring".
The sensors are listed at 433 MHZ, these OEM part numbers: 99760602100, 99760602101
Any suggestions.

Hi,
Just want some clarification. For a 2009 Turbo, 997.606.021.20 is what I assume would be used. On the OE wheels that would be

correct?
For rj5620, see this thread: http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/9...atibility.html
I think you have the wrong part number. I think you need 958.361.661.00

I put in new EON Sensors from OEWheels with S04 rubber. 997.2
They the wheels were installed on Saturday, 5/7. That evening I drove maybe 10-15 miles and the system kept trying to learn. I drove it again, Sunday afternoon for 2-3 miles and the same issue. I then set the Summer Tyres setting to Full Load, then drove maybe 8 miles total and 3 of the 4 sensors started to register. I have a 100mile drive to a track on Friday so hopefully, all of the sensors will have time to register. Has anyone else experienced this?
FYI, on a different set of wheels the TPMS for tire rack registered in under a mile.

I'm bringing this back up.

Only 3 of them were "sensed". This was after I changed the setting to "Full Load".
The system wouldn't recognize the sensors after I tried to "relearn" the Summer Tyre setting under "Partial Load".
In the previous posts, someone said it took the system 50miles to recognize the new sensors...

My sensors learned in 5 miles. That said, the individual psi left side measures are not showing and there is a "req" sign on while right side shows 33-f. 39-r. Sometimes (when psi are slightly off) I see all four tires but only in gradient measures (i.e,) +1 -1 etc.
So I'm not 100% pleased with these sensors and cannot recommend. They are keeping track of TP and at least the warning sign is off.

We'll see if this works. I called OE Wheels, this is the recommendation for the EON Sensors.
1.) Deflate tires 30%
2.) Re inflate to correct pressure
3.) Wait 5-10min
4.) Start the re-learn process from the car.
Apparently, the sensors can go dormant. We'll see...
I'm going to try this tonight or perhaps tomorrow morning, I have a 100mile drive to the track and that should be long enough for it to start working. If not, these Eon's are going back!

Well, I started this thread back in March of 2013 and installed my OE Wheels sensors at the beginning of April of that year. In that time, I ran the wheels for the Summer, then removed and stored them in the garage, ran them all Summer of 2014, including replacing the tires during that summer, then stored them for the winter, ran them all Summer 2015 and have stored them through the winter and am about to re-install them for the Summer of 2016.
With all of that removing, tire changing, storing, pressure changing, etc., the OE Wheels sensors haven't given me so much as a hiccup. When I install the wheels, the car re-acquaints itself with the wheels before I reach the end of the street and they report the pressure accurately, as I check it with a liquid filled, high-end pressure gauge AND a decent digital gauge for good measure.
I have to say that the $165 or so that I paid for them has been money well spent and I certainly haven't seen any reason to have paid the extra money for Porsche-branded sensors.

Good to know. Did you buy and install the EON sensors? I have the same experience as you with aftermarket sensors from Tire Rack on winter wheels. These EON ones suck so far. We'll see what happens.

I am sorry to say that I have no recollection of what brand name was on the boxes when the order came. All I remember is that there was one option for my car on the OE Wheels website and those are the ones I ordered.
