I think I just developed a crush on a 991S?
I was at the dealer this morning getting my service done and there is a black on black 991S coupé with the new factory aerokit that includes a ducktail spoiler.
Up until this point I haven't too been impressed with the 991 but damn....
it was beautiful.

I'd want my 991 with the duck tail and matching areo kit too! I'm sure I'd be very happy in a 991. Problem is, I'm very happy in my 997 and have no burning desire to change my 911 anytime soon.

I looked at the 991S when I bought mine last year.....I too didn't like the way it looks overall. Too big, and the interior....
I gotta say though this one looks pretty sharp.

BTW.... Not One Manual on the lot. Salesman said they've only sold two this year and they need to be ordered. End of an era of automotive functionality I'm afraid.

To me, the 991 always looks sharp from up front to the 3/4 front shot. It's when you move to the rear that it falls apart. That said, I saw this same configuration at my dealer last week and the ducktail helps to break up that flat, elongated rear portion that most detractors seem to have problems with. Maybe that's why they're sending cars configured like this from the factory. How many new 997's ended up on showroom floors with ducktails from the factory?

When I was shopping for my latest Carerra, I fell hard for a white 991 with the duck tail. Spectacular. I happen to really like the 991 shape, but the more I look at my 997 GTS the base 991 has lost a bit of its appeal.

Yup I love the new 991...just a bit out of my budget but perhaps in a few more years or once I'm done completing my MBA (treat to myself?)....
