How do fellow Golfers use their 911 Cab?
Just picked up my 911 C4S a few days ago and am wondering how to best transport my clubs and keep the car nice. I would be interested in hearing what others are doing.

Congrats. I would advise using some kind of buffer, a blanket or something, between the clubs and the back of the front seats. Over the years, I have created a number of scrapes and divots on the soft backs of mine -__- If rear seats are folded down, you can only get 1 set of carry bags in there, but possibly 2 if seats are up. Be careful not of the clubs, but of the various sharp edges and ***** on the bag ( I assume you are using a carry bag ). Generally I leave the clubs at the Club unless I have to transport them.

I do not own a Cabrio, but looked at a few and actually thought I was going to go that route.
Anyway my 2 cents is if it is nice enought to golf put the top down and place them in the back seat, then take them out and put the top back up.
If you are by yourself I suggest using the passenger area, just put a towel down under them.

Seats down in the back, hybrids and anything longer out of the bag and in the footwell, up to two bags laid across the back. A towel along the sides so the dont get scratched up. A cab makes it much easier to get clubs in/ out without damage and was actually one of the reaons i bought one.

Your fellow golfer would never put his Callaway's in the Porsche. I don't want any dents in my 911. As bad as I've been playing....a dent would put me over the edge.

Agree with dethman and jasper1. However, if you put them in the front seat well, put the front seat all the way back and put a heavy blanket or folded up towel between the bag and seat to avoid denting the leather.

small carry bag is fine in front or back. I usually put my cart bag in the front seat, seatback reclined some. I have put the cart bag in the back seat, but only when the top is down. LIke others here, I keep my clubs where I play, and only transport them when I am playing away from my home club.

Been putting mine in the passenger footwell for years ( in a coupe) and move the eat back. when the wife and I travel I fold down the rear seats and lay a carry bag across the back with other luggage on top. Better golfers do drive Porsche

I have been on several golfing trips with a buddy and we get 2 bags across the back seats. Usually put our "luggage" crammed in a small duffel bag on each back seat and 2 bags on top. Since the seats are quite deep its a good spot for some soft luggage. You have to take the woods out but i have also found you can usually get them across the back seats if they are out of the bags. If not, in the passenger well and between the seats.
What I would also mention is that besides putting something between the seat backs, I pay closer attention to the bottom of the bags. They usually are made of hard plastic and the first few times i put the clubs in they shifted and made a few scratches. Now I just put a thick towel across the bottom and no probs.
One of lifes joys driving to the course with the top down - dont know why you wouldnt??

up to 2 bags in the back, after taking out the woods, which u can lay diagonally behind the front seats.
top up or down is fine when driving.
heavy blanket is good idea to avoid denting/scratching/tearing the leather.
smarTop helps.
