Newbie looking for a car cover recommendation

I bought a 2008 911s coupe with 18,000 miles a few days ago. I will try to keep my 2 million questions to a minimum. Is there a good place to buy a cover to be used inside my garage (in Columbus, Ohio). I am trying to protect the car from my 7 and 9 year old boys.

I am also trying to understand the PCM. The guy I bought the car from said I could add navigation to the car if I want (it has the buttons for it). I am more interested in a Bluetooth option. My work truck has Sync (it's a Ford) and I love it.

Griots Garage has a good one, I believe it is made by California Car Covers.

It's done a great job of protecting my Spyder from my 8 and 4 yo. It has also protected it from my wife who occasionally bumps into it with her purse.

I'm partial to the OEM Porsche indoor/outdoor cover. It's got pretty good thickness for ding protection, plus you have the added advantage of being able to use it outdoors if the need ever arises.

Covercraft Noah

For Christmas, my new 997 got a Covercraft Noah. Fits well. Not sure how much protection it will offer against little hands....
FYI - am also new to the club. 2006 C4, 19k miles, CPO, delivered Dec 7. Northeast Ohio.
Congrats on your purchase. Now we just need some decent weather to go enjoy our new toys!

Also just got a Covercraft for my C4s Cabrio...very happy with it as the OEM Porsche Cover didn't fit as well and I ended up returning it.

I have the indoor Tequipment Porsche car cover for my 997.2. Love it.

Get this one. It's hands down, 110% the BEST car cover I've ever owned, and I've owned a few.

For what it's worth...and I have a 10 and 7 year old...I don't cover the car. I have had people tell me that covering the car could be more detrimental, and while I am not totally convinced, I can see why. If there is the slightest bit of debris on that cover when you put it on, the car gets scratched. Just some food for thought...

I do not recommend the OEM indoor cover. Too damned tight!

I have the Covercraft Weathershield HP...very pleased with it. I mainly use it in the garage, but it is quite nice to have it when I have to leave the car outside. It is quite thin though, if you are looking for some "padding".

FWIW I have a Covercraft cover for my 964, and when I washed it (per their directions) some of the stitching came out. They replaced it free-of-charge, even though it was around 3 years old.

How tightly does this one fit your car? (Covercraft Weathershield HP)

My car came with a cover that appears to be this same one. I can't find a part number but it has an integrated storage bag, a single zipper on the back to ease the install and has a clear plastic port to view the license plate. Does this sound like the same one? Dave

That's the one, exactly. It also has a built-in suction cup that attaches to the windshield to facilitate putting it on and stowing it back in.
