75 k on car (emergency transmission run) came up on display I stopped at a stop sign and transmission just stopped working. I turned car off and restarted and it started working but check engine lite was on. Also it had (check engine visit workshop) on the display. I’m in nw Indiana closest dealership is in Orlando park (about a hour away) would it be save to drive that far. It seems to drive ok. Is there anyplace closer I could take it too.

I had this show up on my 2009 Cayman S PDK, from a misfire due to coilpacks/sparkplugs of all things. So don't start thinking the worst. I probably wouldn't drive it an hour away, however. If you have AAA you can get a free tow up to 100 miles. I'd have it looked at by a Porsche dealership in any case.

replace your battery is the first thing i would do. if the battery is getting tired, it could cause the electrical malfunctions with transmisison

Mine was the coilpacks as well, I did also replace the battery since it tested very weak, no issue for a few weeks now.
