So...

- what would you all say is the 'best answer' overall for those of us that have [Let's just say] a 2008 S with NO spare and questionable Goop-like can included?

My default inclination is to call a FlatBed and ask that they carry it to the nearest trusted Tire/P-car repair place...
Thanks for your Thoughts and Obeservations - TriTom

There is a kit that provides that for US drivers:
Would this mean PAG doesn't ship Center Locks to countries with this requirement? (Or even if you had a spare that worked with a CL it's not exactly easy to get it off and re-torque properly.)

Just use the Gunk and clean up the mess later. The stuff comes right off your car and works amazingly well. I had a flat on the freeway 10 miles from the dealership with my brand new GTS. A piece of steel split the case and I was still able to drive the car home. I carry the gunk and a puncture kit just incase I am out in the boonies...

I've been plugging my tires for years if the injury is a simple one--a nail or screw directly into the tread portion. Takes about fifteen minutes when you have a floor jack handy and a pneumatic 1/2 inch drive!

See many postings in the past about how we have had to deal with this mess. Obviously in Germany they never get a flat out out of range with their "Handy."

i have used one of those "Fix a Flats" in a can that you can get at the hardware/automotive store. Gunk and inflation all in one. Got me to a place where i could get a proper repair done

Call Porsche Roadside Assistance and open up the flask of Scotch that replaced the tire sealant. Cheers.

No they don't.

First, the country is so densely populated that if there is a road/highway, you get cell coverage.

Second, they keep their roads in good and clean condition. They don't have the problem with the lines of debris that line roads and highways here in the US, so the incidence of a flat is much, much less than here in the US.

Why is the goop can questionable?

It works. Otherwise they wouldn't fit the cars with it and we'd have reports of it not working for punctures.

True but getting service on a Sunday in Germany ain't no picnic either.

I ran across this at my local Walmart & picked one up....$39.95, cheaper than online.

Most flats can be fixed with a plug. If you don't know how to do it or don't want to, then take a chance with fix a flat or spend several hundered dollars to have it flat bedded and done by by a pro. Its not rocket surgery.

I used a can of fix-a-flat two months ago... it sprayed gunk everywhere out of the puncture hole in the rear passenger side tire. A real mess and I'm still finding areas on the car the gunk got into every time I work on her. I just bought the Porsche Spare Tire Kit from another RL member. I'll continue to keep a bottle of the Porsche sealant in the car JIC but will never use fit-a-flat again. Plus the spare tire should keep me rolling.

I know this has been discussed "ad infinitum" (?) BUT it really P****S me off that in its infinite wisdom PORSCHE (and certain other mfgrs) have deleted the spare tire....
