2009 at 38K miles, only drive on weekends as I take subway to work. Next biggie is the 40K service which I predict will be needed by December. I'll also do new coil packs and coolant reservoir at same time. Mods are FVD tune, BMC air filters, and Fabspeed X pipe. And Numeric shifter, I have the cables too but not installed yet. Maybe I'll get that done too at the 40K service.

117k 2007 997.1S with 6 speed manual. Original clutch. New motor by Porsche around 80k. No issues besides the water pump. Taking it on a 4K trip this weekend!

Big one is 40K....but it depends on age or mileage. Not sure about 60K service. Porsche has it all posted on its NA website.

Bought my 2011 C2S just about 2 years ago with just under 16,000 miles on it -- about 17,500 by the time I got it home. It's got just under 36,000 miles now. I feel a little bad about turning it from low miles to medium miles but forget about it every time I climb into the cockpit. ;-)

Not sure what you meant or referred to when saying no issues besides waterpump but to me replacing an engine at 80k miles is a big issue for me

The 9A1 on the .2 cars doesn't seem to have reservoir problems. I'm on my original coils still at a bit over 100K. Change if you want, but it might be money you could save to install those cables. Note: Coils may be more prone to failure if driven on salted roads.

60K is the PDK oil ...

Honestly, they should rename this thread to who has the lowest mileage on his car!!

I am not sure why people own this car if they will not be driving it...so sad

Hmm, you know I just assumed the .2 had the same issues as the .1 after 8 years or so. Maybe the .2 version is better made. My Audis all had issues with them at about 8 years or so, same with coil packs. My car came from Florida, and I really don't drive much in the winter so you may be right about the lack of salt damage and corrosion.

Was previous owner so I guess I don't really think that much of it. I have the full receipt, think it was bore scoring from what I can gather. Posted more to say that the car has held up very well at 117k in regards to everything else.

Default 997 Mileage

Just turned over 20K on 2011 997. Just the usual brake flush/oil change stuff. No major issues yet. Drive mainly on weekend trips and short runs around town.

We have a very low mileage 997.1, but it's not our fault , we just bought it a month ago.

My current mileage (2009 base Carrera) is a bit over 23 mpg. I have noticed that the indicated mileage is about 1.1 mpg higher than my actual mileage (the number was about 0.5 mpg for my 996).

I had to go to Long Beach, CA yesterday. The drive through Camp Pendleton is relatively flat, so I thought I'd set the cruise control at various speeds and see what the indicated mileages were. This is the raw data that showed on the computer:
57 mph 33.8 mpg
62 mph 32.6 mpg
67 mph 31.8 mpg
70 mph 30.3 mpg
72 mph 29.2 mpg
I'd guess the mpg numbers were ±0.2 mpg. Performing a linear regression (and adjusting for the 1.112 mpg error and the fact that my odometer reads 2 mph higher than the actual speed) I got the following relationship (please note that this is valid only between 55 and 70 mph):

Actual Mileage = 48.9 - 0.29 Actual speed.

Note that the mileage was departing from linearity above 65 mph (not too surprising since drag is an non-linear effect).

To be more accurate, I should repeat this on I-8 in the desert east of San Diego where there are flat sections that run for tens of miles. Other factors are tire pressures (mine were about 1 psi low), ambient temperatures, etc. I'd also run higher and lower speeds to see how linear the relationship is.

2010 997.2 S, bought 12/2012 with 6600 miles. Just past 31,000. Replaced tires- that's it!
