Default is a 997.1 engine lid the same as a 997.2?

I am going to buy a 997.1 Spoiler for a 997.2 car. Is that going to be a bolt on fit?

It will bolt on but the .1 and .2 air ducts are totally different. .1 has 1 air duct way off to the right side and the .2 has 2 air ducts. You will either need to find a .2 lid or buy all the guts of a .2 lid because the fan and ducts are in different places.

MAshaw has a good selection of spoilers for the 997.2. I keep looking at them for my '09C2s . Too bad the factory duck tail that the put on the limited sport edition only for Europe is not available through parts. I like a ducktail

The basic 997.1 and 997.2 lids are the same--except of course for the 997.2 AWD cars.
