I paid 90k for a 11 GTS with less than 1,200 miles on the clock. Came with expensive GT2RS matte carbon fiber mirrors too. I wish I got a full leather interior.

Default This seems like a deal...

Greetings everyone, first post from a long time lurker. Been around p-cars my whole life, now I am lucky enough to be on the market for one.

Came across a 2010 c2s. Just under 13k miles. CPO. Black on full black sports seats. Other big option is PSE.

Appears to be a steal at 69k. Single owner, clean car fax. Only issue i see is that this was a demo car, as it was sold from the dealer with 3600 miles on her. Is that a big issue?

Otherwise, advice is greatly apprciated.

Looking forward to many more postings!

Tim

I'd check to see if it was a track car for a Porsche driving school. Track car was a deal breaker for me. Check the radiator openings for pieces of rubber. Check the front corners in front of the tires for scrapes/scratches. Check the maintenance history for removal of a fire extinguisher and DME report for revs. Iv'e seen many of these "demo" cars have these kinds of indications.
Also:
Manual/PDK?
Sport Chrono?
Nav?
iPod?
Adaptive headlights?
Full leather?
$69K does seem low, unless these things are missing.

In January, I paid $70k for my heavily optioned (MSRP about $120K) 997.2S with 25k miles. It was a 9.9/10 car in terms of condition and had over one year left on the original warranty.

I traded my '09 C2S in 2010 for $74k and the dealer immediately listed it for $90k with CPO. You can see what sort of margins they are working with...

The dealer (Sonnen) wants $100k+ for their $122k sticker 6 sp GTS. It'll be interesting to see what they get for it although I doubt I'll ever know.

I passed on the GTS and picked up a 2009 C2S, fully loaded and a whopping 4,950 miles! This CPO car was showroom clean and has three years left on the warranty. Paid $74k which was a little high but LA is a tough place to buy. I'm going to post pics and start a thread this weekend. That's the interior in my avatar dave

I have started to work a bit harder at finding the 997.2s - so I have it for spring ... it is amazing the spread in asking prices ...example try the 2009 2s launch car ( was green for the 2s and silver for 4s ) ...what a wide variety ... I put data into excel spreadsheet and check back to see if still here and how much they have dropped the price ...

Glad to see 2s's have broken the 50,000 barrier ... time marches on ... cars don't go up ... only down

Still learning on this car ..

I paid $59k ($85,629 MSRP sticker) for a white 2009 launch C2 with 21,250 miles in October 2012.
CPO
PDK
power leather comfort seats with memory
Bose high end sound package
XM
Blue tooth
heated seats
heated steering wheel
self dimming mirrors

It was a lease back ... very clean
