Default Tie rod on steering gear on 2006 cars

just came back from my pre-track inspection, tie rod on a right side got a play and has to be replaced. mechanic says it`s a 6th 2006 car he sees with this stuff in last 4 months and he believes it was a bad batch of parts on the factory.

CPO does not cover it. how to see it - when you lift frnt axle try to jiggle wheel in a horizontal plane and if you get some small but certain 'play' with steering wheel not moving - this is it, there, a broken down tie rod connection.
when it is broken up completely it dislocates. check this out if you have any 2006 car, either boxster, carrera or gt3 - part is same on any car.
