Is there any way to refurbish the peeling TEMP and FAN buttons? They are not sold individually and you have to replace the entire panel $710.00. Any ideas would be appreciated. I was thinking of a Sharpie marker

I have the same problem. I used a black sharpie which worked OK.
Recently, I bought some Plasti-Dip spray for some exterior trim
and decided to try and use it on the switches.

I sprayed some material onto a piece of cardboard. I then used a toothpick
to transfer the material onto the switch. The end result was very good, since
the Plasti-Dip has the same rubbery consistency of the original switch material.
