For f#@ks sake! Just pulled in another $195 speeding ticket this am. Enough is enough. Easiest detectors to purchase up here are Escorts - either the Passport Solo II (small footprint) or the 9500ci. Theres no way I can pick up the instant on laser in time but either should be good enought to pick up scatter and at least warn me in many (not all) cases that there is a bogey in the woods. Worth the investment?
i used to get 2-3 speeding tix a month 10 years ago. i even have a traffic lawyer on retainer. tickets are sent to him as soon as i get them. i have every detector ever made.
then i started track driving. 3 years of that, i stopped driving more than 10mph over speed limit on fwy. it's boring. do some track driving and you will stop speedking for good.

Classy? What the hell does that have to do with anything? You dont think that that is a legit question? You said its on your way to pick up your daughter at her school!! And I quote what the cop told you "plus you were doing 50 mph in a 30 mph zone, you rolled through a stop sign and you neglected to put out your turn signal for two turns." And you have been caught 2x doing this. How classy is that?
Your a doctor for fs sake. If you think that its ok to drive like that, then pls stay out of my neighbourhood

You are right though, I should not drive at excessive speed or roll through stop signs. Good on you for pointing that out to me.

I am glad you spent the time to research me - I feel special now.
I call bull****e when I see/hear it. If you want to brag about your careless driving then go ahead but at least man up to some criticism. Sarcasm and deflecting the issue on to someone else is unbecoming

I have no issue with being polite but I am not going favor a LEO with honesty when I have been blatantly lied to by cops on a number of occasions. Last time, I was stopped at a light when the officer pulled up behind me with his lights on and said he "clocked" me going 42 in a 15 mph zone despite the fact that he had no radar unit and he was not behind me prior to my stopping at the light. To top it off there are no 15 mph zones in the city, 25 is the limit unless posted higher.
The time before that, I pulled into my garage only to see a cop pull into my driveway. He claimed he had followed my for five miles and I exceeded 80mph in a 55 mph zone. Sorry, you can not follow me for five blocks let alone five miles without my noticing, I swear I look out back as much as out front.
I responded to these lies by politely denying everything and didn't get a ticket in either case, proving the cops had absolutely no evidence. I figure that in both these cases someone dialed 911 to to report me "flying" in my blue Porsche and the cops lied hoping I would admit to speeding giving them the evidence the needed to issue a ticket.

My last ticket was for doing 45 in a 30 on my way to Seneca Lodge at the Glen. Sneaky little speed trap but I considered it revenue generation for a town that supports a great track.
