Just thought I'd update this thread with some great research that Doug L. did over at 6SpeedOnline.

Here's a link for the door edge guards I use on the lip: http://www.brandsport.com/trimgard1.html
I've got the black U-shape on the GT3 replacment lip and the red on the replacement aerokit lip.
I measured the full length of the bottom of the lip, which is less than 10 ft so I ordered quantity of 2. It took about 2 minutes to install and it hasn't come loose yet.

Update: Worked like a charm today when pulling into a parking lot! Looks like a keeper so far!

Just simple self adhesive door edge trim. I bought a 100' roll on Ebay. Their red matches my guards red perfectly. I also trimmed my lip up about a quarter inch with a rasp. The edging takes abuse much better than the lip, but when it gets too ragged, I just peel it ff and stick on a new one.

So this may seem like a n00b question, but which way do you orientate the strip to the lip (in regards to the ProTrim/ Dawn Enterprises trim)? Does the adhesive side attach to the front end of the lip or the underside?

I did this back in 2012 and have only replaced the trim portion twice (but due I think for this season) - the gray is a perfect match for seal gray... saves the spoiler but more importantly for me reduces the stress of scraping

Resurrecting this thread from the dead. Could you help me out and let me know if you got the U or L shape and which gray you bought?

It's "L" shaped. I'll search for the packaging to find the exact color.
