What did you do to your 997 today?

I went with Rennline pedals with the extended red throttle tab for easier heel-toe shifting. They are awesome!

How well does that MPOW play with the phone—do the music streaming and phone functions get along? I was reading some reviews of the Bovee and there were a lot of complaints about the streaming cutting into phone calls and the music coming on when it wasn’t supposed to.

If you are a set it and forget it then the MPow may work, unsure if it connects automatically.
Downsides to to bovee is in my experience 1-5% of the time I have to disconnect and reconnect. That’s it.
If that bothers you so much I would just put an iPod in and forget it.

It does not display the song info on the PCM or allow use of the car controls to skip songs, but not a big deal for me, especially since Waze and Pandora are now integrated together through the same Waze interface and the phone is right there.

40K (self)-service. Went down to my in-laws, where they built an awesome lighted pit. Sure does make the inspection work easier and its great to visit with them and their new pup. Changed the oil, air filters, and plugs. Boxer engines are great for alot of things, but not plug changes! But look at that pretty machined aluminum.

Started it up for the first time in 3 months and took it for a quick spin to get a feel for the newly installed 997.2 GT3RS suspension, Turbo brakes, and new wheels.

Car needs an alignment so I only put a few easy miles on them in the meantime to make sure everything felt tight. They're height adjustable and definitely stiffer then eibach springs they replaced but not bad overall. I also have a DCS controller which I will install after I put a few miles on these which will soften them up a bit in non-sport PASM setting. Excited to actually give them a proper test run on some back country roads.

interesting, do you mind sharing how much you paid? I’m assuming you bought them used? Looking for a coilover system for my GTS and it seems there aren’t many options, especially if you want to preserve PASM. To be honest though I find PASM pretty terrible in sport setting.

The going rate for a set of used 997.1 GT3 coilovers seems to be $1200-2000 depending on condition and age. I paid a bit more for this set but it was practically new with only a few thousand miles on them and actually from a 997.2 which had a few improvements from .1 in terms of ride quality. If you're considering the upgrade you will also need a set of oem GT3 or similar (Rennline is what I used) front upper monoball strut mounts, pair of adapter sleeves since the diameter of the shock is different, and a set of PASM extension cables.

Three Wheelin'
Got the turbo aligned after replacing the steering rack, suspension, and brake rotors/pads/hoses.
