Nope. If you track the MAF values with the factory airbox and an open intake you can see there is more air being passed through the motor. Since the DME adds fuel to keep a proper mixture ratio, more air going in means more fuel going in and an increase in power. This is especially noticeable at 4000 rpm and above.

Is that an OEM aerokit front spoiler? Like the clear side lens too.

(All I’ve done to my C4GTS is the center bass by sharkwerks like you’ve done).

Yes, the lower spoiler is just an unfinished Aero Kit version:

The lights are a 991 knock off for the 997.2. They look much better and the LED matches the front LEDs better.

I also have the non-LED clear factory European lenses but like the LED style much better.

Cheers!

Sigh...

Hooked it to a battery tender.

I used my Targa 4S as a daily driver for about 3 years, but ~3 months ago I took a job that has me flying to Nor Cal every week. So the 997 sits in the garage until I get back. Sometimes it doesn’t get driven much since I have other things going on. Noticed this weekend when I went to start it that it took a second to catch, suggesting that the battery might be low. So I went ahead and hooked it up to the battery tender. Sad day for my car.

Replaced the spark plugs and took her for a spin. Not sure if I’ll want to do this myself in 4 yrs as removing the heat shields truly sucks.

I had to remove the mufflers to get to the coils and plugs on my 997.2
You don;t have to do that on yours ?

The mufflers has to be removed but they are easier to jiggle in and out than those heat shields... especially the driver side.

I know what you mean if you meant the plates covering the coils and plugs. They are a pita to remove and you have to wonder if Porsche did it on purpose to deter us DIYers from doing it. It seems they went to great lengths that unless you twist and turn that plate just in the right sequence and direction, it s not going to be removed easily.
