Drove from Porsche Palooza in Eureka Springs, Arkansas to Dallas TX in perfect weather over ridiculous Mtn roads at what many would think are ridiculous speeds. Safely and courtiously, I promise. In the caravan, my 2006 S kept up nicely with a 2007 Ruf rGT, 993 TT, 993 Ruf R turbo, and a Ruf massaged 993. Amazing scenery. The mtns were nice too.
Oh yeah having lunch at In-N-Out Burger right now an hour from home. It's a good Porsche day.

Had a new set of Conti DWS tires installed to replace my summer tires so the car can perform its daily driver duties during the reasonably mild Raleigh, NC winter. No way I could survive winter if I put the car away til spring! BTW, any experience out there with these tires? Winters around here are mild enough that I hope I can get away without dedicated snows.

Bitter-sweet day. Cleaned, emptied - CDs, Dust Cover, Mob1, Driving gloves - and then started up the 06 7C2S for the last time. Drove it 30km with windows down to Porsche Centre Cape Town and handed in the 3 keys, service manuals and reg papers. Bought her with 4k kms and now with 30k she's theirs again so 26k kms in 56 months. http://db.tt/sci4dV3V
If I'm lucky I'll only go a week or so without a Pcar http://db.tt/6L94pi9l

Put new(er) Bi-Xenon headlights in! (Had a cracked headlight case from who knows what--no impact damage apparent) Traded with a buddy who was trading in the car for a GTS! Took about ten minutes!

Drove home and switched from the toyoya to the Porsche and drove my daughter to Cross country. Drove back to work. Worked. Drove back to pick up my daughter, took her home and went back to work all the while waiting for beauty to warm up. Left work and Picked us up Subway and went home and Put the car in the garage, regrettably. The office called. Seems I forgot some paperwork so I had to go back to work, shucks. I tried to complain to an employee about all the driving back and forth but he said " If i had a Porsche I would be driving back and forth to work all day." True dat True dat...
