Agree. Nothing wrong with that at all.

I took my 997 on the first long-ish roadtrip since buying it, about 500 miles roundtrip up to the Finger Lakes in NY:

That's Skaneateles Lake which the missus and I went up one side and down the other, beautiful weather for it. I got my best MPG ever by far on the way home (26.8 mpg mostly at limit+9 on the cruise).

This probably doesn't count but took it in to get all of the time and mileage maintenance up to date. I did the oil a few weeks ago (DI40) and let them do the brake flush but on the menu are plugs (possibly coils if warranted) air and cabin filters, serpentine belt, PDK filter and fluid and the front differential.

I hate spending money on the car when it is in "not broken don't fix it" condition, but I try to practice what I preach and I way too often advise others to do the same. It's also important for the car's records and future value to be up to date. Besides it's just the right thing to do. I view myself less as an owner and more as a steward of this car.

After 200 miles I drained the BR40 and made the switch to DI40 (it took 8.5 quarts)

I found some gt3 style center exit muffler tips from design911 that was basically the same ones on FVD website but about $400 less and it arrived in 3 days from UK. Honestly I wasn't expecting it to be a straight bolt on and thought I'd had to take it to a muffler shop for some fabrications but surprisingly it bolted straight up to my TubiStyle exhaust! Not sure how I feel about the tips because they are quite big and do protrude a little.

Met up with some Porsche buddies in CT this past weekend for a work on cars and bbq day. That red 997s Cab in the pic below is Gundo’s (the creator of the Gundo exhaust hack)!

Very nice looking duck dude. Nice plate addition too, but if you keep this up someone might **** on your rug.

It happens every day in homes throughout America.

Love it! Looks amazing and happy to hear it was a relatively straightforward conversion. Well done!

Added the FVD Street Sport Muffler to my .2. Took some videos as the ones available were pretty dated. Not the best quality, but the sound is pretty damn close! I'm in love.

Not today, but this past weekend. Got out for a ride with a fun crew. Snapped this before we all dispersed.
