Haha! Thanks T! Very happy how they came out. The Car Bone one is nice, but mine is a "replica" of the actual logo Porsche used.

Default Oil Change on my 997.2

Total cost of parts and oil less than $50.00!!! Walmart was selling Mobil One 0-40 5 qt. for $24. $12 mail in rebate with 2 purchase max. Got a check back after mail in rebate of $24. Of course the wife got that! Bosch Oil Filter $6. Crush washer and aluminum oil drain plug $15. Easy job on the 997.2 with the filter on the top of the flat 6 engine. Torque setting 19 ft lbs on the filter cap and 37 ft lbs on the drain plug. Of course proper tools are needed - floor jack, stands, 36mm filter socket and 8mm hex key for the drain plug. Do it your self and save a boatload of money than having Porsche dealership charge you $300 for the same.

You mentioned replacing the drain with aluminum and crush washer. If you replace it with aluminum, the torque value is definitely not 37 ft-lbs.

Swapped out the LED's in my DRL's to get rid of an error code. Also went online to find some replacement lights for the glovebox and the frunk.

Removed my yellow rock guards from the car. Unfortunately, they did not come off as easily as the youtube videos I watched. Thankfully after almost a whole bottle of goo gone, no more adhesive left. Next week, putting on the replacements.

I'm comfortable with the 37 ft-lbs. I reviewed multiple sources and others who have replaced many aluminum plugs and all agreed on 37 lbs for the 2009 4S is what it should be.

Default DIY coilover install

Done installing coilovers for 2 days😂 I've done some DIY stuff on my 86 911 and 74 2002 but mostly bumpers, dashboards and oil changes. First time to DIY the 997 and decided to try the coilovers. 2 shops quoted me $895 and $1000 to install so that is about the amount I saved but the experience was PRICELESS

ha - Thanks. When I bought the car a month ago it had clear film protection on the front, but not the lights. That's why I taped them.

Took her for the first real ride after installing the Tubi exhaust. Went for about 6 hours up rt97 and all over the Catskills.
