My local mechanic as well. Have been up and downstairs before, so many cars in storage and for sale. Great place.

Per PPI, in 3 weeks will be replacing LR axle seal which is leaking and both engine coil heat shields which are rusted.

I've been researching options for phone mount products and placement in the car. I got the idea for this bracket from some other thread and opted to design and make my own. I ordered the Scosche brand magnet that has doubled sided tape and magnetic plates to insert either on or in the phone case back. Took me a few attempts with a cardboard template to get the shape and dimensions needed, then fabbed up the bracket with some sheet metal - painted it with a rattle can of some textured truck bed spray.

I recently installed a Apple Carplay compatible radio unit, which rendered my multifunction controls on the steering wheel nonfunctional. Worth the trade-off to me, though, for the phone integration.
I found a reasonable used grey/carbon steering wheel that matched the style of mine (2006 triangular airbag) except w/o multifunction. So, I swapped the steering wheel trim pieces (Porsche calls them covers) and it looks OK (not so sure about the carbon look) but I get a PSM and PASM error on the instrument panel readout, and the driver’s window is down just a bit, as it is when closing the door. I'm guessing I need to get it re-coded, from what I am reading here. Any thoughts? I may just put the old trim back on and live with it. Kind of like the cleaner look, though.
