My local mechanic as well. Have been up and downstairs before, so many cars in storage and for sale. Great place.

Looking good. I just had my 60 K, and PDK service done. Now it's time for a road trip somewhere

Rain? We need some of that up here in Dallas. It would be worth a dirty 997.2S...T

Installed this little fuel adapter to help stop the eco-friendly fuel nozzles from stopping numerous times at the gas station.

Thanks to fellow RL user Chumaco for posting this. I used his picture and info from this post

Yep. Pitifully small, but enough to encourage me to fire up the Weber. With vittles fetched with the 997.2S...T

I've been researching options for phone mount products and placement in the car. I got the idea for this bracket from some other thread and opted to design and make my own. I ordered the Scosche brand magnet that has doubled sided tape and magnetic plates to insert either on or in the phone case back. Took me a few attempts with a cardboard template to get the shape and dimensions needed, then fabbed up the bracket with some sheet metal - painted it with a rattle can of some textured truck bed spray.

I recently installed a Apple Carplay compatible radio unit, which rendered my multifunction controls on the steering wheel nonfunctional. Worth the trade-off to me, though, for the phone integration.

I found a reasonable used grey/carbon steering wheel that matched the style of mine (2006 triangular airbag) except w/o multifunction. So, I swapped the steering wheel trim pieces (Porsche calls them covers) and it looks OK (not so sure about the carbon look) but I get a PSM and PASM error on the instrument panel readout, and the driver’s window is down just a bit, as it is when closing the door. I'm guessing I need to get it re-coded, from what I am reading here. Any thoughts? I may just put the old trim back on and live with it. Kind of like the cleaner look, though.

The look is growing on me a bit. I need to clean the steering wheel (again) though.

Guess I will swap the parts back until I can get it coded to delete the multifunction.
