What did you do to your 997 today?

Thanks Pete. I broke with the group at Benton and headed on to Las Vegas to work on a machine.
FWIW, handling suffers when you have a couple hundred pounds of tools shifting back and forth in the frunk!!!
Now I get to enjoy the drive again today 8)
I'm on Android with a fruit laptop. I haven't really looked at photo reduction, but I'll play with your suggestions.
In the meantime, here is a shot that I cropped to reduce size.

I'm always up for doing that sort of thing. It looks like two of the three cars were GTS'?

Returned from Vegas to the SF North Bay today. Just under 600 miles.
Headed up the 95 to the 266 to the absolutely amazing 168 where the drive was so good I didn't stop to take any pictures. If you want to see how amazing it is, go.
We took 168 going east 16 months ago on the way to some Utah Canyons and Yellowstone. Going west today was better, I think.
From there it was up the 395 with a tough decision ... Stay on the 395 with great views, or take the 6 out of Bishop to Benton and grab the 120 with its air capable whoopdies. Too many tools weighing down the car ... stayed on the 395.
Stopped at the Mobil just south of Lee Vining for a great lunch. A decision ... buffalo meatloaf or gas station sushi. Really, no matter what you may think, in this case either is a great choice 8)
Tioga Pass was beautiful as well, and I opted for this rather than returning over Sonora. A lot more traffic, a lot more tedious, not sure I made the right decision.
But with all those tools, on the way over I had to use the brakes constantly on turns to load the front end as the tools slid and pushed the car with a jerk. Putting the tools on the passenger's floor and seat worked much better, but the casual ride through Yosemite had value.
BTW, the frunk bin worked nicely to protect the car from the cargo.
Anyway, back home, and back to the grind. I'll attach the photos that are allowed.

Went driving with local PCA. Great turnout. Eclectic mix including a few old air coolers, a 918 Spyder, a 997.2 GT3RS, a couple of GT4s. Weather was perfect.

lets see
In my opinion, there's nothing that makes a pre-owned car feel new again more than a fresh looking/feeling/smelling leather steering wheel. Ever since I purchased my CPO 997.2 C2S back in June, I've been lusting after the sport design paddle steering wheel.
I snagged a great deal on a new wheel from eBay last week and just received it tonight. It was installed within 30 minutes.
What a difference the paddle wheel makes for the driving experience!

You and others were missed but there will be another time, Grant.
It was a special day. As always, the only thing better would've been to wake up in the wee hours of the following morning and do it again!
That said, there are many stories that fell out of the day & I'm hopeful that they will be properly shared.
Unsure if we'll make it again to the east-side until late spring '18 at the earliest...assuming that we get winter, otherwise who knows...it only gets more special out there through the winter, however then we'll all want to do it in something other than a 997 and properly enjoy the off-road adventures...
