yes, toothpick it was. my wife did it. She's an artist!

Took her litterly 2 minutes, would have taken me an hour

I was so close to doing red on mine but went safe with black. I guess I can always change it....hmmmmm...

Having gotten a few PMs about mine, here's all I did for mine.

Cleaned it with a alcohol wipe.

Brushed black touch up paint into the pattern. It's OK if it's not neat.

Take a clean, lint free cloth and just DAMPEN it with Goof-off. Wipe off the top of the **** making sure you don't squeeze any into the shift pattern.

Gently wipe the excess off and the pattern will remain painted.

Took off the temporary tags and put on my new license plates. Still getting used to this in the garage!

Very exciting today. Spent over an hour beginning to remove the Cosmoline from the engine and under carriage of the car! Not planning on shipping the car back to Germany; so, don't need the Cosmoline for protection from salt air.
