Any type of wax helps with brake dust. Synthetic waxes last a bit longer, about 6 weeks. The brake dust washes off with a stream of water.

Wheel wax lasts a few weeks/month depending on how you drive your car but once you get a few coats on the wheels they do make cleaning them somewhat easier as brake dust doesn't stick/coat the wheels as bad. I have black wheels which hides it a lot better than silver wheels. But whatever helps.

I don't want to take this thread OT...but any particular brand better? Know if it effects cleaning power of Sonax Full Effect Wheel Cleaner?

Finally got around to putting Michelin Pilot Super Sports on the GTS. Should have done this 2,000 miles ago. As has been noted many times on the forum, they are fantastic tires. Much quieter, with a better ride, and equal if not better grip than the PZeros. While we were at it, replaced the grey centerlock bolts with red anodized ones from Suncoast. A little function / a little jewelry for the car...

Default 6 point seat belts for passenger, too.

Finally got around fitting the passenger side 6-pt harness. Had to remove seat to fit the sub-bar, which was a much easier install than the driver side. Whole install took 2 hrs, including the time spent searching for a missing spacer for the belt anchor.

Been a long ..cold..lonely winter....

Unplugged Trickler
Took deep breath
Turned her over
Heard the beautiful Roar of the Tubi (on first shot)
Lowered over inflated tires to spec
Took her out ...
..life is good again

Default Upgraded GT3 front brakes

Whilst flushing the brakes of my wife's MINI, she asked if I had done the same to my C2S two nights ago. I said yes but that it was after I had replaced the calipers, brakes pads and discs. She then noticed that her discs were a lot smaller than mine

Usual spring interior exterior clean up, wash, wax but noticed light scratches on the headlights from road debris and bugs, used some Meguiars Plastx I had left from the vette (older model with the plastic convertible rear window). Amazingly easy and quick and great results. Also the Pcar is going on 6 years old and saw the beginnins of wear on the seats. Used my girlfriend's saddle leather balm, Albion, only available through tack shops. Again, amazingly good results, wish I had taken before and after shots for the group. Happy spring!

It's been a long cold winter here, too. We parked our 997 coupe in our daughter's heated garage in early December. We took it out once in late January on a cold evening with dry streets. I finally got it back on the road today. The battery maintainer did its job, and it started up right away and drove just fine. It's still cold, so I'll have take it easy with those hard PS2's. Still, it's great to be driving a sports car again after four months.

Peeled off the old partial cover clear bra (5 years old) and replaced it with a full coverage Xpel ultimate clear bra. We did the full hood, full fenders, doors, rocker panels, rear impact areas, and wing blade!

First mods! Clear side markers, black stone guards and rubber floor mats to protect the carpet. Crappy cell pic fails, but now we can do a proper photoshoot!

Default Headers and a coil pack

Not on my own C2S but my mates 05 C2S. Replaced headers under 2 rear jack stands. Took 1-1/2 hrs due to some rusty old nuts. Noticed that #6 piston valves had heavier carbon deposits, so I removed spark plugs to take a look. Black soothy carbon deposits on the plug so we swapped out a good coil pack that I had. Hope its just a coil pack going.

My dealer gives out free quarterly inspection so I decided to take mine to get inspected.
