I figured that must have been the intent with the zip ty's.

Ordered Fabspeed X pipe and BMC air filters. Put on a new stoneguard and have some bubbles to get out. Next time I'll pay a shop to do it. I hate working with film.

Last weekend change out for new rotors and pads, bleed brakes @71k. Put in Function first soft tranny inserts. New OEM engine mounts too.

Leather cleaning and creaming. Also did the engine bay while I had the momentum.

Now I will just allow it to dry up completely and then the cover goes on until March

Installed my sports design steering wheel with the paddle shifters in my C4S. Easy install and it makes the "manual" PDK even easier.

Attempted to remove the stock exhaust in order to fit the Sharkwerks x pipe I picked up, only to snap a few bolts and bloody a few knuckles. I'll attempt it properly by removing the bumper when it warms up this spring.

So instead, I just drove it.

Just had my short shifter and Sharkwerks x-pipe (and exhaust tips) installed.

If you drive a 6-speed 997 and you DON'T have the OEM short shift kit installed, you are doing it wrong. The driving experience is so much more improved with the shorter throws.

In terms of the Sharkwerks x-pipe, the sound is definitely improved. I knew not to expect anything crazy (based on the dozens of reviews and videos posted on all corners of the internet), but I am definitely pleased with the result.

Installing my B&M "knock off" SSK and Numeric cables today. Doing some shimming/tightening of the shift linkage at the lever as well to tighten up the overall feel.

Installed BMC air filters today. Dropped a torx socket bit that went under the airbox and had to use a coat hanger to fish it out. Its a tight work space to get the airbox cover off. Not much room to get the screws out.
