^ How long did the install take? 2 local shops are trying to quote me 4 hours to install the Sharkwerks bypass which is absurd.
Agree with nwGTS, it takes about 2 hours. The bolt on the top left is a PITA even with my completely unrusted easy to remove bolts. You just need to have the right tools for the job.

4hrs is high, although they might have access to Porsche's book times with tend to be rather high as well.
For reference we quote 2-3hrs for our center muffler bypass x-pipe only because those bolts love to break, most end up taking 2hrs.
Took about 1.5 hrs. No bumper removal and hand tools. I did the gundo the week before so was familiar with the top bolts which took about 30 min of the time.
Yes, VHT Clear, color, and primer. Sprayed everything out in the same day allowing 1 hour between primer/base color/clear. Fully cured for 24 hours then baked at 200F for 1 hour.

Should have clear bra the front... now respray and clear bra to save yourself money.
My entire front end is clear bra.. makes me so happy not to worry about rock chips at all. Cheaper to replace bra when needed many years later than respray. I got all original no rock chip front end

Yup, I think this will be my winter project. I just bought a 2012 Cayenne S as my winter DD to give my C4S a break during the worst of the Chicago winters.... I got a quote back in early Summer from the local Porsche-approved body shop for a total respray and clear bra so I've got a few months to get this done to be ready for Spring and more top-down driving
While changing my gear oil to PTX I noticed the lower gear cable was completely detached and just "hovering" over the ball end at the gearbox. Have no idea how I was able to shift like this... Also noticed the upper cable was being held onto the bracket by a "zip ty". Not the best workmanship from the independent who did a recent clutch / RMS on the car.
Promptly went onto my computer and ordered the Numeric cables and El Cheapo short shifter kit from Ebay for $45 shipped. Depending on how I like the feel of the short shifter I may only use the adjustable bushings from the kit and shim the OE shifter to tighten it up a bit.

Zip tying the cables into the holders is a common method to ensuring they stay in there and don't pop out, stranding you on the side of the road.
