Where is your "snake" located? Is there any video?

We have a "Snake" here on the east coast as well.

This is what it looks like from a Caymans' perspective.

My car is plain ole' Arctic Silver. The colors look crazy because I used HDR (HTC One).

"The Snake" is a popular section of Mulholland Highway in the Santa Monica mountains. Look up Matt Farah on YouTube. Chris Harris did his Singer 911 video near there too.

OK. I've seen the Chris Harris video. Sadly, on the east coast, once we give a road a reptilian name it loses it's appeal. The Dragon for instance is nothing better than a parade route on warm weekends.

Same thing with Mulholland. You know the other thread with the discussion of driver misbehavior and crossing the double yellow? The videos just posted there all take place at "The Snake".

Had the clear rear guards replaced (had yellowed a bit). Think the profile view now looks pretty much seamless, without that hint of yellowed plastic...

Also the gratuitous rear shot from Sleepy Hollow...

Ok, haven't posted in a while, 'cause the 4th quarter is insanely busy...however, i have been playing with my car and also used it as therapy for long days.

After purchasing my C4S Cab in September, here is my short list of updates:

1) Added BMC Aircleaners - installed myself
2) FVD Street Sport PDK Exhaust - installed with my son...pics included (supposedly adds horsepower? who knows but it sounds great)
3) FVD ECU tune - also installed with my son
4) Smartop-also installed with my son (this is really slick - IMHO the car should have come like this i think)
ALL OF THESE WERE DUE TO ADVICE/ENCOURAGMENT FROM MY RENNLIST BROTHERS! THANKS!

Now all i need is warm weather to go play. These were my Christmas presents to myself.

I used the "savings" from doing the exhaust swap myself to get the lifting equipment and tools to keep doing my own maintenance. That seemed like a great move. I am having a surprising amount of enjoyment working on my car. Wifee says i am crazy to take apart an expensive auto, but really with you guys in my garage with me...it seems very doable. Thanks and happy new year. Sorry for the big pics, for my next trick, i will learn how to resize them.

Default Window Tint and Repainted Wheels

At first I wasn't sure as the tint was a bit darker than I hoped and they didn't quite nail the wheel color, but its starting to grow on me now.

I thoroughly cleaned the inside of my rear window, and I pulled muscles I didn't know I had.

Installed Valentine One with Blendmount, hardwired to fuse box. Then, installed a Sprint Booster. Activation button routed and hidden in ash tray.

Hi everyone,

I posted in this thread on December 23rd, 2014 and I have done the following since:

1. Plasti dip my rear spoiler to match my dipped rear intakes.
2. I TOOK OFF MY ORANGE SIDE MARKERS AND PUT CLEAR ONES FOR RENNLIST!
3. Last Friday night, I used goclean waterless car wash to get the salt off my car as it is my daily.
4. I added H&R spacers, 7.0mm on the front and 15.0mm on the rears.

QUESTION: After adding spacers do I need to re-align, check camber, toe in etc.? If I do need
to do this, can it wait till spring for my planned maintenance at a Porsche Dealership?
Finally, by the picture, does my rear wheels look too negatively chambered? Thanks
in advance for your comments if any.

Thanks for looking!
Andy

I live in DC, and did exactly the same thing on my '12 GTS this weekend. I agree that it has changed the ride quality significantly. Very happy to have the DWSs on!

Gave her a bath today since the weather was so nice (low 70s). Also installed a brushed metal crest on the hood that I bought from intrepidagent.

I too am curious whether there would be any benefit in the 4S coupe? Perhaps removing some of the occasional lightness of the front-end???

I installed one in my '80SC Targa and it (along with Turbo tie rods) stiffened up the front end nicely.
