could never justify the speedster, just insane markup for a modified top

Beautiful pics, blue has always been one of my favorite colors. It's rare and I actually like your (Edgy) 911 much better. I'm not into the humpback of the speedster, seems like wasted space.

Don't forget the purty wheels!

No thanks on the Speedster, I will take Edgy's car...

It's interestng to note that a well optioned TT would be approx the same price but not pull in the talk this Speedster does. It's all in the eye of the beholder, isn't it? Nice cars. Both of them. But that Speedster looks very very cool...

Nice pictures Dan, both colors are stunning.

I have to agree with the majority here, the Speedster just doesn't do it for me. For some reason the lines look forced on the Speedster, almost like Porsche was trying too hard to differentiate it and went to far. It would have been nice to have the rear flares and none of the additional ground effects. I also think the Speedster would look better in white. This is my opinion of course and YMMV

I understand that they are available in more colors than Pure Blue and Carrara White. Should be nice to see as the deliveries begin for the States.

Nice opportunity Dan, is that lower windshield on the Speedster really noticeable?

Bruce--I tried to capture the windshield differences in the shots--if they were both painted in the body color, I don't think you would notice the difference at all.

Very nice pics, thanks for posting. I, too, would pick Edgy's car. I love that blue with the tan interior.

But, Edgy...roll your window down when you take pics!

Re: LED tail lights for 997.1...I must have missed or forgotten a post somewhere. I thought the only LED tail lights for 997.1 were the same shape as the 997.2 lights and required a new bumper? Who's making the lights Edgy got? And Edgy...do they work flawlessly, without any warnings on the dash or weird behavior?

I *think* they are the "fuchs" inspired wheels originally introduced on the "Sport Classic" 911. Should now be available via Techquipment.

Of the colors Mexico Blue, Riviera Blue, Mexico Blue, and Blue Turquoise, the Pure Blue is the darkest. (These are listed from lightest to darkest).

The Speedster blue is VERY blue.

I matched my side windows (up) to match what the Speedster had for the shots.

For LED on the 997.1 cars check out some of the past postings herein, as well as SixSpeedonline.

You're stuck with it, Tom! I have to agree. I like the touch of green in the BT.
