I got a letter and Mouse pad from Porsche today
Hey guys I got a letter with a blue 911 mouse pad telling me
that I was a qualifying participant in a Porsche upgrade program. other than telling me that I can expect "UNPRECEDENTED EXCEPTIONAL" trade in value, there are really no other details at ALL! Is there any deals you know of or coming up? It says May 15 to Sept 30 2011 is the time of the program. I might be interested in a GTS or something if there is some program I dont know about. Any insiders know why I got this vague letter? I appreciate the mouse pad, but I would have liked to know some details. I will X post this in the 997 forum to see if anyone knows anything. thanks |
I am thinking that now that I think about it, its a gig to get us to buy the 997s sitting on the lots
with the 991 loaded up and ready to go. Porsche is probably having a little sphincter tightness given all the lame duck 997s to sell. |
+1

Just more marketing. Porsche has a robust marketing department. I got the same thing in the mail today.

+1 just got mine.
Actually I'd like to move into a Boxster Spyder. Loved driving that on the little track this Spring at an event. |
+1 for me as well

Got mine as well, but my question is different.
What color is the blue on the car shown on the pad? |

Got one too.. Porsche's attempt to gettin us into new cars before the 991 comes out next year or beyond. Slightly interesting but not enough to move me outta of my 09 997S at this time, in this economy, and with the 991 being a big ? mark as to looks, driveability and improvement over the 997 which works just great for my current needs. :)
But do appreciate the mouse pad! :) |
Wow, this is cool!
Totally unexpected and I actually needed a pad. |
Got mine yesterday. Now I'll have to stop using the laptop only and start docking it so I can use a mouse. OR.....I can give it to my cousin who is nuts about Porsche.

Me too. Nice mouse pad though. I've already put it to use.
And if I could swing it, I'd be happy to own a GT3 RS (dare I wish for a 4.0?) rather than a new 991? They just seem to be getting even bigger and though I trust they will be 'better', ultimately smaller is better for sports cars. IMHO. V

Me too. I did notice that Boxster is mispelled in the second paragraph of the letter, and, that Acceleration is mispelled on the cardboard spec sheet.
They need used cars on the lots also since dealers are generally experiencing a low supply of used cars. Regards, Marc |
I guess I'll add, "me too." to this thread.
