Well, it certainly sounds great! Also did you catch this quote in the text:
"KERS – Kinetic Energy Recovery System – is standard and will be part of the entire model range"
Interesting, but seems unlikely....

Sounds great. I've always thought the 997.1 sounded better than the new DI 997.2's. Maybe it's been addressed with the 991.
I assume the KERS, or "PKERS" in Porsche speak, won't be on the Boxster/Cayman cars.
So the 911 will be moved further upmarket from the mid engined cars.
I do wonder about the heat generated by this PKERS system although it sounds very interesting.

I just sincerely hope it brings the performance to really make it the benchmark. No need to have Mustangs, Vettes, M3's, and others giving it a run for the money.

Yeah those guys have some nerve giving it a run for the money. But why stop there? I think Porsche should be able to outrun those pesty liter sport bikes. I mean, really

I'm not really seeing the difference in the 2011 to the 2012 991 in this video. I understand its disguised for the press, but other than the mirrors, first glance's seem very close to a current generation.
I imagine when Porsche is ready to introduce the 991 we will see the cosmetic design changes...

you guys better hope they pick it up, the next corvette is not going to be a slouch... i like it, i like it alot, mainly because it is going to drive down prices of 997.2 to a more affordable level.
