New Untitled Speedster Available- On The Ground
#16
Drifting
I must be the contrarian. I like to group Porsches into two buckets - 1) cars that should be appreciated for their artistic appeal, and 2) cars that should be appreciated for their driving charisma. My current Speedster fits bucket #1, and my GT3 fits bucket #2. I'd categorically put the new Speedster in bukcet #1...
I keep my 94 Speedster polished in the garage and drive it no more than 300-400 miles per year. Visitors joke that my garage is the nicest room in my house (track lighting, epoxy floors, built-in cabinets, framed Porsche art). For me, it is a showcase room for fine automobiles... It is all about the look...
Now the GT3 on the other hand is flogged on the track and puts the biggest damn smile on my face every time I drive it. I could care less if it is clean or not - because it is supposed to be driven! I feel the same way about my 06 Cab. As a DD car, who cares? It is all about the performance, and of course the fun...
