Speedster
It looks like Speedsters are finally hitting US shores. Just saw this one at Sonnen Porsche in Mill Valley, CA. Don't know for sure if it is for sale, but if there is any interest, contact Stephen or Michael @ Sonnen (no affiliation, yada, yada).

i would hope so - I saw one in Bangkok last week
I'd pick a Blue GTS Cab over this! ;)
I would love to have it for the fact that so few exist. But I would be driving it and that top would be a pain :)
I'd like to see the Monroney Sticker on that!
Whoa! Pricey
Reminds me of buying lobster: "Market Price."
no thanks - looks like Quasimodo
looks better with the white '2-tone' paint job :-)
That's a lot of blue! How could anyone drive such a BLUE car?
That's not a "market adjustment" price? that's the actual MSRP? Are the F'ing serious?
That is the price. It's mostly in Exclusive options. And you pay for exclusivity--only 356 being made. At least it comes with a Japanese transmission!
I took this photo on March 17th at my dealer. Was told it was a VIP sale (aren't they all?). Nice looking car but its value is as a collectible.
For a lot of info and opinion on the Speedster, see cover story in the May issue of Excellence where they discuss if it's is worth 2x a GTS. Opinion: no. Porsche and Leica remind me an awful lot of each other. They make many regular ones, but then they insist on making 'special' limited runs of essentially the same thing, but with options here and there. Ultimately, with Leica and Porsche, the really special ones never get used. In the case of Leica, they remain unmolested in their original boxes, hardly ever to see the light of day. In the case of Porsche, they sit underneath covers in a darkened garage. In both cases, it's truly sad. They should be taken out and enjoyed for what they can do.
