Default But a stripe on my newly finished wheels.

Well after a few weeks of going back & forth we've (TVP & I) located a Maritime colored 3M type product, cut a stripe and applied it too each wheel. Used a heat gun to get the 3M material to bond and cling over the raised numbers, pretty cool.
Initially tried to run a stripe around the perimeter of the wheel but the spokes edges run almost to the tire leaving no continuous flat surface.
This wheel should look good at speed. (tires to be mounted Monday)

Please tell me you're not going with the blue stripe! (which inner city are you near?)

Dan,

I don't think your comment was necessary.

If you don't like the stripe, and feel you MUST make a comment, something on the order of "not feeling the blue stripe" would have sufficed, IMO.

Not feeling the blue strip. Keep it simple. Don't overdo it!

It's interesting that they make a material that will do that, but just because they can, doesn't mean you have to!

(I hope the earlier wasn't too mean!)

I really like that pinstripe line on the GT3 wheels. That may look cool in blue on the black rims.

Default Drip, drip, the slow reveal continues ;)

Some pictures before I mount them up.
Reminder these are OE 18" Carrera III's, I'll use them this weekend on Blue Ridge Parkway (running TotD and Cherohala Skwy) and hopefully running VIR at the end of the month.

Thanks for the vote of confidence Mark, Saturday sounds like a great idea! I'll see you at Brier Creek with the Cayman, can't believe big red is gone already, you loved her and kicked her to the curb real quick!

I leave for Asheville, NC Saturday afternoon, will run the Dragon and Cherohala Sunday, Monday.

Default My car and a 964 RS at the same event, a Charity Concour.

The RS is beautiful in it's simplicity.

I don't generally care for black wheels, but that blue is so strong alone that it can take a lot and still work - I think it is a cool look, for fun - classier with the original wheels, but why not have both if you can.
