Default A couple of interior mods

Thought I'd share this mornings project with you guys.

I wanted to personalize the interior a little, so today I installed an upgraded console lid with embossed Porsche crest and a piece Porsche calls a "full leather console trim" (goes between the shift boot and the storage area below the PCM), both from Suncoast. At the same time I installed a carbon trim piece that goes under the shift boot to match my OEM carbon interior. This was purchased from MAcarbon, and I must say I was very impressed with the fit and finish of this aftermarket piece.

All pieces were a breeze to install using instructions from MAcarbon's website. It probably took me less than an hour in total.

Here's a few before and after shots. What do you guys think?

Tasteful additions. And Cobalt Blue--always stunning. I can't believe they dropped it from the lineup in favor of Aqua Blue.

I've ordered the same two peices (not the carbon bit) for my interior. i think they will finish it off nicely.

Did you get the leatherette lid cover or the real leather one? The leatherette one was $350 but with the rest of my order it was on special for $240. I thought about the real leather version, as it seemed wrong fitting fake leather when the rest of the interior was real, but it was $730 which I couldn't justify. Girlfriend told me how many handbags I could buy her for that much!!

I went with the cheaper option, couldn't justify the $730 either. I was worried, but am very pleased with the lower cost option.
Goodluck,
Dave.

Looks great, I took did the Console Lid upgrade w/ Crest and love it.

Is your dash leather? If so would you mind posting a pic of your dash showing new PCM, leather trim panels? I'd like o see how it looks if dash is not leather with trim panels attached, as that would be my setup.

Thanks & enjoy the upgrade!

Hi, I think I may have confused you with my initial explanation. The piece I changed is the small leather piece that goes in front of the gear shift boot. Not the panels on each side of the PCM.
Those panels are leather, as is my dash. I can get you a picture of the PCM/dash area if you'd like, although that's not what I changed.
Dave.

Good job. See you were able to get the lesser cost console lid option like I did on mine. Its definitely a better choice that the $700-800 leather option and looks just as nice. You can hardly tell by looking at it and it looks great. Very nice interior. Tasteful carbon bits...some folks overdo it. My buddy has an e92 M3 and has carbon fiber on everything from the parts of the car that come factory with CF like the roof to under the hood where he's got CF intakes and engine covers, etc...which in my opinion looks kinda tacky when you just CF everything. Sorry I verred off topic. Great interior and great color! Congrats!

PS updated my interior with black side panels now. Interior upgrade w/contrast complete...I hope! LOL Rob

Nicely done Dave. I may have to opt for the console lid... I have the XM radio add on too. Fits the space very well.

Hey Rob, yeah, I saw your latest update. Car looks really good, congrats. You were right on the console lid, very happy with the cheaper of the two. Thanks.
Dave.
