DIY On Porsche OEM Satellite Radio Install

Hello All,

A few months ago I completed my Porsche OEM Sirius Satellite Radio install in my 07' 997 C4S Cab. With Work and summer family vacations I put off writing my install up in a DIY and just got around to completing it.

A big thank you to Ric at Suncoast for all of his help.

As the doc it too larger (due to pictures) I have posted it for download (for free, just wait it out for a few seconds) at the following site:

David

Thanks for offering the link, but even with the "slow download" free link doesn't work. I'll try again, but can you confirm it's a functioning link?

I just tested the link using a different browser (Safari) by copy/pasting URL into browser. The site came up then I clicked on "Slow Download", waited the 25 seconds & the document proceeded to download.

If you continue to have issues, PM me with an email address to send you doc.

Regards,
David

The download worked fine for me. Thanks for the excellent writeup. I'm curious what the Sirius tuner sells for. I have a GW500 installed in place of my CD changer (which I removed). Would this present a challenge to add the Sirius tuner now?

Hello,

Thank you for the feedback on the doc, just giving back to the forum after all the vauleable info I have gathered here myself.

Give a RIC a call at Suncost (no affiliation, just great service/support) and he can quote you on the two Porsche parts I listed in Doc, as that is all you should need from Porsche. All parts required are on first page of my doc.

You shouldn't have any issue with having a GW500 w/out CD Changer, as you can see from my doc, my MOST loop setup is as follows:
PCM -=>Tooki BT -=> GW500 w/ Changer -=>Sirius Tuner -=>Nav -=>Bose

One disclaimer... The method I documented is what I found (after ALLOT of "trial & error", part swaps, you name it) worked for my car/setup. "Your mileage may vary"..

With all the guess work done, the install so go very quickly.

BTW, if you do decide to do the project, at time of service activation, call Sirius and tell them you just bought the system through Porsche and wish to activate your three month FREE subscription service!

Enjoy!

I have a question about adding the new Gateway 500 with the OEM sat radio module in my 07 997 TT with PCM and No c/d changer.
It is not clear where to add what components in the MOST circle.
Here is the link to the Denison instruction manual - http://http://www.dension.com/sites/...tall_guide.pdf

Any advice would be welcome !

David, great write up(very detailed) and in PDF format even... thanks for sharing with everyone. I'll add your posting to my DIY Index Post. BTW, the file downloaded in 2 secs from Firefox.

What I found was the order that worked for me was:

1) PCM
2) Tooki BT (This was later, added AFTER Denison my initial install, so you should be ok without it)
3) Denison/CDC
4) OEM Sirius Sat. Radio
5) Nav
6) Bose AMP

As I had already a CDC, programing via PWIS was not required in my case.

Hope this helps.

Hey guys doesn't this Audi OEM Sirius receiver look identical to the Cayenne receiver ?
Both made by Delphi. Wonder if compatible?

Here is the link from Ebay:
